Forward Deployed Engineer Classes in Ameerpet, Hyderabad

A friend of mine hires engineers for an AI startup. Last month I asked what he struggles with most. He didn’t say “finding people who know AI.” He said, “finding people who can sit across from a customer and not panic.”

That’s the gap our Forward Deployed Engineer classes in Ameerpet are built to close. Knowing AI is one half of the job. Being useful to a real person with a real problem is the other half.

What is a Forward Deployed Engineer?

Simple version: an engineer who goes to the customer.

A normal developer works from a ticket. Someone else talked to the client, someone else wrote the requirements, and the developer builds what the page says. A forward deployed engineer skips the middlemen. You talk to the client yourself. You see how their team really works, which is rarely how they describe it. Then you build the fix, put it live and stay close while people start using it.

The role was made famous by Palantir. These days it’s spreading across AI startups and large companies, because almost everyone wants AI and hardly anyone knows how to fit it into daily work.

What the job looks like day to day

Say a clinic has staff who spend an hour each morning hunting for patient records. Nobody there says “we need a retrieval system.” They say, “this is slow and it drives us crazy.”

You listen. You ask a few more questions than they expect. You build a small AI assistant that finds the right record in seconds. You test it on real examples, and it gets three wrong. So you work out why, fix it, and test again. Then you show the staff and watch how they use it, because that’s when you learn what you missed.

Some days are technical. Others are mostly conversation. The best FDEs are comfortable with both.

What we teach in these classes

The syllabus comes from one question: what would you need in your first week at a client site?

We begin with Python, APIs and SQL. Just enough to pull data from somewhere, clean it and make sense of it. If you code already, you’ll fly through this part.

Next, large language models. You’ll learn why they sometimes sound confident while being wrong, and how to write prompts that work on the fiftieth try, not only the first.

Then RAG, which is how an AI answers from a company’s own documents. It’s the most requested skill in client projects right now. You’ll work with embeddings and vector search, and you’ll learn something that surprises most people: how you split a document into pieces can matter more than which AI model you choose.

After that come agents, meaning AI that takes action instead of only replying. They call tools, look up records and try again when a step fails.

Two topics get less attention elsewhere, so we give them real time. The first is testing: how do you know your AI is accurate, and how do you catch a bad answer before the client does? The second is deployment. You’ll move a project off your laptop onto a live server using FastAPI and Docker, then learn to watch its performance and cost.

Finally, communication. You’ll practise asking better questions, being honest about what’s realistic and explaining results to someone who’s never heard of a token.

How the classes run

Small batches. That’s deliberate. In a big room, you can hide, and hiding doesn’t teach anything.

Each session starts with a short explanation and a live example. Then you build. The trainer walks around, reads your code and tells you what’s off. Assignments get proper feedback, and you’ll redo things when needed. It’s not glamorous, but it works.

You can attend in Ameerpet or join live online. Every session is recorded, so a missed class doesn’t put you behind. Batches run on weekdays, weekends and evenings, so you can fit them around a job.

Projects you’ll build

A document assistant that answers from real PDFs. A support agent connected to tools and databases. A search system for internal company knowledge. A workflow automation for a business problem.

The capstone is the big one. You pick a problem, treat it like a real engagement, gather requirements, build the solution, deploy it and present it. Your trainer and batchmates ask the difficult questions a client would.

By the end you’ll have live projects and a GitHub profile with substance. That’s what people ask about in interviews.

Why Ameerpet

If you’re from Hyderabad, you already know. Ameerpet has been the city’s learning hub for years. Two metro lines meet here, so reaching us from Miyapur, Secunderabad, LB Nagar or HITEC City is easy, even after a full day at work.

There’s a quieter benefit too. Being around hundreds of other learners keeps you going on the days you’d rather skip class. You hear about openings, find someone to practise interviews with and pick up small tips you’d never get alone.

Who should join

Fresh graduates who want a skill companies are hiring for. Developers who are tired of routine tasks and curious about AI. Testers, analysts and support engineers thinking about a switch. Freelancers and founders who want to build AI solutions for their own clients.

You don’t need a computer science degree. Some Python helps, but our foundation sessions are there for beginners. What matters more is showing up regularly and being okay with getting things wrong a few times.

If you want a certificate without doing the work, this isn’t the right place. We’d rather say so now.

What comes after

People go on to apply for roles like Forward Deployed AI Engineer, AI Solutions Engineer, LLM Application Developer and AI Automation Consultant. Some join startups, some move into consulting and some start freelancing.

We help with your resume, review your portfolio and run mock interviews. We don’t promise jobs, because nobody honest can. But someone who has built and deployed real projects usually has a much better conversation with an interviewer.

Quick questions
