React js is a JavaScript based UI development library which is run by an open-source community and Facebook, now known as Meta. Though more a library than a language, it is widely used in web development cross-platform run environment.
It is used to create front-end applications and user interfaces which allow users to interact with programs. It was created initially by Facebook and allows users to create fast applications by tying JavaScript with an HTML based syntax known as JSX. In comparison with other programming languages, it requires very less coding and so it is very easy to create dynamic web applications. It is a powerful tool that can be used by front end web developers. It is ideal for building applications for both the Web and mobile.
React js is used by major applications like Facebook, Netflix, etc. to build their User Interface and improve user experience. As a tool, React.js has a very small API and hence, as a student you need to understand only 4 concepts to get started with it.
Compared to other languages and applications, the source code in React js is clean and more consistent and has the largest ecosystem of open-source libraries available. Hence anyone with a very basic knowledge of JavaScript can learn React js with minimal effort and in a very short span of time. In comparison to its peers, React js supports development across IOS and Android and increases productivity by 50% without any compromise on the quality or productivity.
